Someone please tell me why in the hell commercial planes of any kind are considering it safe enough to fly anywhere near a war-zone?
I hope Malaysian Airlines gets their asses sued off for this. Utterly ridiculous to be anywhere near there. Elevate the cost of the flight based on the diversion and the extra fuel, and keep 300 people safe. I don't care if it was considered "safe enough" that's total bullshit to me. Air-to-air combat going on in the region is enough cause for commercial travel to be diverted, or cancelled in my opinion.
