He's known equally for his scorching electric work, amazing acoustic technique, and poignant songwriting. That he never caught on is, to me, an indictment of the music business... but, of course, I'm a fan.
I've often read his name, but don't think I've actually ever heard him play. Kind of odd since I consider myself kind of knowledgable about folk music and its practitioners . . . maybe just not the British ones.
