I was usually a defender of The Genius, on the basis that the third-winningest manager in the game's history probably knows more than I do. But, I've never been a fan of the American League style of ball that he employed. I'm hoping that the presence of Erik Komatsu on this team is an indicator that we might see a trend toward more driving the opposing pitcher nuts with a couple of guys who can steal a lot of bases, and less waiting for the 3-run bomb. 3-run bombs are great, but all other things being equal, I prefer Whitey-ball to Genius-ball.

If we stay healthy , we might get a little of each .......
