NLCS Game 7 GC

1. Jon Jay, CF

2. Carlos Beltran, RF

3. Matt Holliday, LF

4. Allen Craig, 1B

5. Yadier Molina, C

6. David Freese, 3B

7. Daniel Descalso, 2B

8. Pete Kozma, SS

9. Kyle Lohse, P

Anyone else think Holliday's back stiffness is BS.  I know he is dealing with some stuff so I wont be critical.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

My wife and I work tonight.  Won't see the game, won't see the debate.

Go Cardinals, GoBama!

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

Like I said, whatever happens it was a thrilling and exhausting, usually frustrating, ride. This team has achieved way more than I thought they would in May, when it looked they were headed for 84 wins. If they lose tonight, it's not the end of some era. The window isn't closed. If they get beat, but take good, smart at-bats and play crisp defense, well, that's how it goes sometimes.

"Anyone else think Holliday's back stiffness is BS."

Absolutely, unambiguously, positively, unequivocally not.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

Jay has been pretty bad. It's hard to criticize when everyone else besides Beltran has, too, though.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

Cain's fastball is very active.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

That 2-2 pitch is one that had the Cardinals tied up in Games 5 and 6. Holliday took it. Maybe that's a good sign.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

Looks like Craig didn't get the memo. After this series is over I'd like to see how many fastballs up and in the Cardinals made outs on. It has to be staggering.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

First two pitches from Lohse were up. Not a good sign.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

Lohse needs those two pitches - the second and third to Scutaro - to be strikes.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

Marco Scutaro now batting 1.300. This is quite a show.

That might be game.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

That's what...the fourth or fifth time the Giants have scored on an infield hit? Crazy.

Now Posey nearly gets another.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

Seriously, let's look at the past three games. The Giants open up a big inning because Lance Lynn and Pete Kozma are terrible at fielding their position. They score a run because Zito drops a perfect bunt with David Freese playing back like Manny Ramirez is batting. Last night they score because Freese and Kozma make butcher boy plays. Tonight they score because Sandoval hits it just shitty enough that Lohse can't throw home. They are the unluckiest team since the Texas Rangers.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

Freese should have done more with that 1-1 pitch. Right down the pipe.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

Cain has thrown a few hangers and gotten away with it.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

At least the zone is consistent. Though this might end up being a 4-hour game.

'Sup with the guy in the front row behind the plate wearing a Marlins jersey?

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

These Giants fans are retarded. Celebrating because Cain got Lohse to line out? STFU.

If he throws the last pitch he threw to Lohse to a real hitter, it's halfway up the bleachers.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

Lohse is pitching like a guy who knows he's got nothing. It's not Donovan Osborne bad, but this is not the approach you expect your Game 7 starter to take.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

It is just not their night. Wow.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

Giants pitchers have more RBIs in the past three games than the Cardinals do. -per Jayson Stark.

Re: NLCS Game 7 GC

Now it's just getting stupid. Craig absolutely crushed that.
