Miami gave the DFA to Zack Cox. I'm not sure how the waiver wire works at this point, but if he can't crack that roster, then it's pretty clear he doesn't have much of a future.
It's a little disappointing that the most the Cardinals got out of the 17th pick is three good months of Mujica*, but there was nobody who thought they went wrong with selecting Cox.
*I know Mujica is still on the roster, but I don't see any way he repeats last season's performance.

Didn't the Cardinals give Cox a major league contract coming out of the draft? I assume that's why Florida couldn't option him to their minor league affiliate.

That's correct, but this is the same team that's likely to start Placido Polanco at third.

He finished out the season with the Marlins' AA affiliate and had a .689 OPS, which was worse than he was doing in Memphis.
