I stopped watching, but according to Artie's post above, the tying run was on-deck. That satisfies the save rules so long as you didn't put the men on base.

Well, then credit Matheny with more brilliant managing, allowing a ten run to shrink to "save" dimensions, and then allowing Mujica to rachet up his personal statistics.  Perhaps we should start calling Matheny "the genius"?

Solid thinking, but they may need Mujica when they're in Dogpatch this weekend. Hopefully three times.

Kennedy is hittable, but at some point you have to score, not just get hits.

I couldnt believe they left kennedy in for that shelling.  100 pitches in 4 innings and no one warmed up in the pen.  Ouch!

Alot of good things happend last night.  holliday hitting and adams hitting was good.  Delscalsos average is mid 270s now.

He's no Bo Hart, though.

if he can bat .270 he is a very servicable player.  Between freese, descalso, carp, kozma and wong there is a surplus of decent infielders.  I am not sure who to give up on.

Almost 30 points above his lifetime average!  The only problem now is how they'll ever be able to draft a middle infielder now that Descalso has that position locked up for the next decade.

A lot of good things always happen when the starting pitcher is off, but left in to take one for the team.  It's nice, of course, but I'm going to pencil it in as poor pitching, rather than any big improvement on our part.

Four guys homered yesterday who, collectively, had just 9 home runs between them before the game.  Throw in Holiday, who has not been himself, and it is hard to believe that 5 different guys suddenly found their swing.
