Has there been any speculation yet if any long term harm is being / has been done to the several promising young rookies who, owing to the many injuries, were called up rather sooner than expected?

Yahoo says the game tonight will be televised by "TV: FOX", not FSMW, or some such. I am hoping that means it will be televised nationally.

Correct. National TV tonight and tomorrow. ESPN tomorrow night.

Ken Rosenthal reporting there may be a rain delay.
So I assume it's sunny.

I'm supposed to be getting Detroit/Boston.
Max, I'd assume you're going to get Dodgers/Padres.

Yes, I have it on now. But I suddenly realized that I am already scheduled to attend two music-related events, and I promised by daughter I'd take her to the mall to buy a present for her friend who is moving away. Yikes!

I always knew you and I thought alike, Artie.
I expect some sort of discussion along these lines will begin among the fringe Cardinals journo/bloggers, and if any of the pitchers show delayed development in Memphis, the story will move the the PD.

Fabulous slide by Beltran!
And he did it by sliding, not by taking out the catcher.

Ouch. After the national broadcast team build him up, Yadi looks like his 2005 incarnation, swinging and missing at a pitch that was barely catchable, let alone hittable.

RBI Machine delivers again ...

Wow, was that Robinson who almost threw out Beltre? That was a nice throw.

Miller getting hammered...

This is painful. After a very snazzy first inning, Miller looks outmatched.

Freese just missed , not sure if that was misplayed , Robbie gets him in ...

Shano is unquestionably the best defensive outfielder on the team.

Crap , Miller...

Almost looked like an amazing catch would have gotten it, but that he misjudged and did not extend his glove far enough.
Miller keeps flailing. Good thing Wainwright pitches tomorrow.

Other than Wacha and Martinez, both of whom pitched well in St. Louis and have since been sent back, none of the pitchers that were called up were "promising young rookies."
I suppose you could throw Maness in that group, but he's pitched pretty well also.
Who specifically are you concerned about?

Do you really want to do this, because I sure don't.

It's a simple question, isn't it?
