Bedard vs. Lynn tomorrow. With no curfew.
Good move by MLB making Thursday an off day.
With Tim McClelland behind the plate. The Cardinals might not arrive in Oakland until Saturday.

Whoever is doing color commentary for CSN Houston is awful. The way Nomar Garciaparra is awful in that he's unwilling to say anything remotely interesting or insightful because he's afraid of offending someone he might have to talk to later.
He and Brownie have spent this half-inning wondering why some players can hit in the minor leagues but don't hit as well in the majors.

Come on, Houston. Get a hit. I don't want Westbrook to throw 120 pitches in his third start off the DL.

Westbrook gives up a home run and instantly starts nibbling.

When Jake goes; he goes big time in a hurry ............

Five innings of Jake Westbrook and one inning of Todd Wellemeyer.

Pirates 6, Mariners 0, B2.
Joe Saunders might make it home before it gets dark in Seattle.
