I'm watching Mets-Diamondbacks to pass the time. If ESPN promoted some of the great young talent in baseball the same way they promote Matt Harvey, baseball might actually gain some casual viewership.

No help from the Phillies in Pittsburgh tonight.
TTTIB and the Giants are tied, but the way the Giants are playing lately, it's felt all game long like they're waiting around to lose.

I was getting annoyed at the East Coast bias because Miller had better numbers until a couple of weeks ago, but other than David Wright and maybe Zach Wheeler in a year or two, the only reason to go to Citi Field is when Harvey pitches.

Didn't Jerome Williams go something like eight years without being the winning pitcher in a major league game?

Miller's curve is better tonight, but he's got to figure out a way to throw fewer pitches.

Great fucking at bat by Adams. He needs to play more.

Not tonight, Trumbo. You miserable piece of shit.

Ryan Jackson couldn't possibly have taken a worse at bat than Kozma.
Nice job Carpenter.

Unbelievable.

I believe Mr. Williams is ready for his check.

Chris Davis hit his 32nd HR tonight. Unreal.

How did Molina hit that pitch?

As good as a 7-run lead is, I always worry when a pitcher has to sit for 45 minutes between innings. Miller could have gone to Disneyland and ridden the Pirates of the Caribbean in between the bottom of the first and the bottom of the second.

97? I'd say Miller's arm is fine.

Only if he had one of those Fast Pass thingies.

Brennaman's Mentally-Retarded Offspring just called out Arias for showboating. This is a guy who's watched Brandon Phillips for the past seven years.

Seriously??? Hank Conger??

Good point. That's a real time saver.

Is that the least Asian sounding name for an Asian guy ever?

Anyone else think we've seen all of the Cardinal offense for the night?

The Cardinals have made eight outs and Kozma has accounted for three of them. I'm just sayin' ...

I predict they'll get one run this inning, but it'll be a gift because the Angels don't have a real first baseman on their roster.

This first pitch of Pujols' at bat in the third inning was a fastball at the letters, on the inner third. He used to clobber that pitch, but tonight he couldn't catch up to it. As much animosity as I've felt toward him for leaving, this is the first time I've felt kind of sad about how quickly he's declined.
