7/6 GC

I was about to write that Kelly is making things difficult for himself, and then Morrison made things even more difficult for him.

Re: 7/6 GC

Gonna need the bats to wake up today. Shoeless Dan's about due to shine.

Descalso isn't a shortstop.

Other than Carpenter, has anyone hit the ball hard off Eovaldi?

If you're not going to use Wigginton here, why have him on the team?

Because Shane Robinson is going to win the game ... with a little help from Logan Morrison.

Wow. The Cardinals look like a monkey humping a football on defense all afternoon, and the Marlins are the ones who end up throwing the game away.

Not for nuthin', but why did Robinson break for second? I guess it's instinct when you see the ball get away, but not much good comes of it.

Instinct, and if Jay doesn't break it keeps you out of a force play. But I get your point.

Matheny just credited Wigginton for helping Adams before Adams' HR

Matheny also just informed the media that Molina was unavailable today due to a knee issue. No mention of what that means for tomorrow or going forward from there.

Seriously. According to Matheny, Wigginton is imparting wisdom about how LHPs have pitched him in the past and what Adams should expect.

Rec. Wigginton may have created a new role. The Cardinals have pitchers, catchers and a fetcher.

Re: 7/6 GC

"Molina was unavailable today due to a knee issue"

It better not be serious, because the only non-Wigginton component of the team right now worse than Cruz's offense is the way he handles pitchers.

Edit: ... and Descalso's Garry Templeton imitation at shortstop.

It's great that he can contribute in that way. Too bad he has to take a roster spot to do it.

The NBA may have felchers, so why not?
