Really, just a boneheaded game. I'm still pissed about Craig being sent. What'd I miss?
Cardinals down 3-1 get the first 2 runners on base and Beltran bunts to move the runners up to 2nd and 3rd.

Nah, that's just the burgers.

The Dodgers are an elite defensive team. That double play was ridiculous, regardless of Tony Cruz being the runner.
Maybe I'm overreacting, but the Cardinals appear to be the fourth best team in the NL. I'd easily take the Braves and Dodgers.

"pork burgers"

Good stragedy. Sacrifice with the guy who is like 7 for his last 10.

"That double play was ridiculous, regardless of Tony Cruz being the runner."
Not for nuthin', but if Jay gets the bunt down and moves the runner to second, Cruz's grounder probably gets through and scores Freese because Punto is cheating toward the base to keep the runner close.

I had to run an errand and missed that. I don't know why the Cardinals are so fascinated by bunting.

To make it even worse, Jay popped up a first pitch breaking ball from a lefty that was up around his eyes.

Nah, I think I'll just eat a couple of pizza squares.

How exciting that the Cardinals key middle reliever is a guy that strikes out the same rate of batters as Neil Allen. I can't wait for the fucking World Series parade this year.

I think we ought to impose some kind prohibition to Neil Allen references on this board. That might be the worst trade in the history of the franchise.

Maybe if Marp gets on Beltran can bunt.

I cant remember the last time i saw a game from start to finish that ended in a cardinals win.

I'm aware of the custom. If you walked into a pizza place in the North End and asked to owner to cut your pizza into squares, he'd jump over the counter and punch you in the nose.

Fifth, if the Reds ever decide to hire a manager who's more interested in winning games than burnishing his image.

Rudeness is what attracts people to us. Think of it like we're the chick in high school who you asked to the prom. We said yes but had no intention of going with you because we just wanted to mess with you.
Think about the Bunker Hill monument for a second. It's not even on the right fucking hill. Where else would you find a 250-foot cement obelisk in the wrong place, memorializing a battle we lost?

Very close. Just below the one that got us Rick Wise, and that's no knock on Wise.

That one did give me pause. The decisive factor being Wise was a pretty decent pitcher. Allen wasn't.
