In the mail today, I received a clear plastic bag (about the size of a gift bag) bearing a Rams logo. According to the letter that came with it, this bag (or something smaller) are the only bags permitted into NFL stadiums this year.
My wife rarely carries a purse smaller than a small piece of carry-on luggage. But I'm imagining a woman on her period carrying all of her normal stuff, plus her tampons, etc... in a clear plastic bag for all to see. I'm also imagining a mother of a small child carrying diapers, wipes, bottles, toys, etc... WTF is she supposed to do?
I'd love to know what genius came up with this policy. He (I have to assume it was a guy) ought to be fired. Nice job marketing your product Roger Goodell.

You alluded to this by citing Goodell, but the teams are apparently following the NFL Committee on Stadium Security's recommendation by implementing the new bag policies. How seriously do you have to take yourself if you're in the entertainment industry and decide you need to form a security committee? That's beyond even Disney's realm of autocracy.
