How many pitches have bounced away from Castillo today? He's going to rename the position from catcher to picker upper.

As my MIL would pronounce with her Boston accent: "Petuh Kozmer!"

Every out in this game is an excruciating experience.

Idiot Sidekick just tried to explain what a knuckle curve is. I have no idea what he said, and I threw one.

Mujica pitching the eighth. Must mean Motte's back early from the DL. Yeah!

Or Ryan Franklin has come out of retirement.

I know it isn't fair to compare a manager with less than 2 year of experience to a guy who won more game than every manager other than 2, but asking Mujica to pitch 2 innings tells you how right Matheny's sphincter is puckered. Larussa would never be this desperate to win 1 game. 20 pitches to finish the 8th. This one is far from over.

Adams is about to blow another save for Fors.

Where in the world was Adams going?

The Rockies and the Pirates are in the sixth inning and they started two hours later than the Cardinals.

I wondered I there was a point where Matheny might have run someone other than Mujica out there for the 9th. Obviously 4 runs wasn't enough in MM's mind.

I assume rosenthal getting knocked around the other day had something to do with it. The lack of use of mujica and a off day tomorrow makes this a smart move. Of course a quick 9th helped that opinion.

Mujica's 1st save since 7/25.
