Who plays for the national championship.

I'm going to call this out now.

Florida State plays against Auburn.

I hope however that it's Florida State vs Missouri.

Logic: Florida State won't lose. Just no way to call or expect that. Ohio State however could. This is by far the toughest team they've played and after barely escaping Michigan, I'll call the upset. That puts Auburn in line, but playing #5 Missouri. I don't think Alabama can stay ahead of Missouri if they beat Auburn, and certainly won't jump Auburn if Auburn wins.

We'll see how it falls out.

Re: Who plays for the national championship.

Mizzou and Florida State

The longer this week goes, the more discussion there has been about whether Auburn can jump Ohio State. It's like Auburn beating Missouri is a foregone conclusion. Couple that with the fact that ESPN  is still showing the final play from Alabama/Auburn, I'm hoping Auburn starts to believe its own hype. Plus, Pinkel and the seniors have been playing the disrespect card all season. I think the stars may just align in Mizzou's favor for once.

I finally got a chance to watch the Mizzou/aTm game on TV. That was the worst game the Missouri offense has played all season. I think they were nervous last week, but I think they feel they're playing with house money now. I think they come out loose.

One last thing. After the 2007 Big XII championship game loss to Oklahoma, Pinkel admitted he let the players celebrate too long and also admitted he coached too tight. I think they're better prepared than people realize.

But worst case, I'm going to whatever Bowl game Mizzou ends up in. A trip to New Orleans or Florida for New Year's Day will be a nice consolation.

Re: Who plays for the national championship.

Well, clearly my first post about Mizzou/Auburn was made by my head and the most recent one with my heart. Mizzou had no answer for that triple option.

It's starting to look like MSU is going to shit the bed and let's Ohio State into the National championship game.

Re: Who plays for the national championship.

Thanks. Man, Fors wasn't far from being right. Missouri gave Auburn all it could handle, but they didn't have an answer for the running game Auburn brought. I was so hoping I was wrong on that call.... I really would have loved to see Missouri in the NC game.

I'm actually thinking FSU will have a job to do, where last week I would have said they win in a romp. Looking forward to the title game, hoping FSU wins it just because I'm tired of hearing about the champion SEC and could use a break.
