He's been medically cleared, but he's reportedly limping around camp acting as if there's still some sort of lingering injury that no one seems to be able to find.
I'm starting to wonder if he isn't a head case that the team should consider moving while his value is still way, way up there. It won't happen, but just because it won't doesn't mean it shouldn't.

A bit. But I'm also wary of any medical information that comes from the Cardinals. For all we know, they might have operated on the wrong ankle.

The pd keeps saying he is unwilling to go 100%. Is it still hurting him or is he being lazy and not wanting to go through the rigors of st. Mahbe he is just a pussy. They even went as far as calling it a mental issue.

1-for-3 with a double.

And now he's going to sit due to right hamstring tightness.

Geesh, maybe they should have dealt him.

Matheny says Taveras is only running at "about 50 percent." It's become pretty obvious he isn't coming north (I'm not really sure that was ever a serious consideration). I really, really hope Taveras doesn't go to Memphis and sulk.
Part of me wonders if Taveras even cared enough to try to make this team. I hope I'm proven wrong.

Seems like he is pretty young to have this sort of lingering injury issues. The media hyped him up and have really backed off. Idk if that is a sign of things to come

"The media hyped him up"
I'm sure you were trying to conserve words, which I applaud, but I you probably meant to write: "The Cardinals hyped him like he's the second coming of Roberto Clemente, some members of the media bought into it, and now there's some circumspection because of his injuries."

As I said, I hope I'm completely wrong, but with the acquisition of Bourjos, moving Craig to RF and installing Adams at 1B, I'm just wondering if Taveras didn't simply decide that it was unlikely that he was going to break camp with the team and simply decided to put forth as little effort as possible.
I'm just wary that having hyped him as much as they have, maybe the Cardinals created a sense of entitlement in Taveras' mind. Again, hope I'm completely wrong.

Yeah i wasnt taking a shot at the media. I should just said hyped up in general.

Well if he wasnt going to make the team and wasnt 100% i guess there isnt much reason for taveraz to push himself and risk injury. Kind of mark priorish tho.
