I dont think there is a bad way to put this lineup together at this point. Things will sort themselfs out as the season moves along. Looks like matheny is going with power over speed as he keeps both speedsters at the bottom of the lineup.

I may be coming down with some sort of illness that will require me to leave work by 3 p.m.

"9. A Female"
Ain't that a kick in head?

If wong can stick in the 2 hole this lineup has some depth.

"If wong can stick in the 2 hole"
Now you're just inviting the dick jokes ...

No i just think wong is the type of player you can move around alot. Put him in different holes in the line up just to keep things from becoming stale.

Two hours into the season and Bob Walk is already kissing the rings of his employer: "The Cubs are trying to accomplish what the Pirates have already accomplished."
What's that, Bob? Finish with a losing record for 20 years in a row?

Rizzo has struck out three times in his first three at bats, leaving three on base.
Cornerstone of the Franchise indeed.

"Hopefully he doesn't have to"? Shut up, Kruk. The guy is a turd.

That was some professional hitting by Adams.

It's nice not feeling that the bottom of the lineup is helpless, even if Peralta looked bad there.

Bourjos didn't look much better either. Cueto is on his game today.

Wow. Intentionally walking Brayan Pena. With Adam Wainwright on the mound.

I can't believe Bourjos even made it to that ball.

I'm endeavoring to enjoy baseball this season, rather than having these games gnaw at my insides like an angry beaver, but Bourjos just tested my resolve by dropping that line drive.

Already three unintentional walks.
