Not a fan of replay at all but i like that the decison is made away from the ballpark.
I realize they just started using replay, but if a ball hits off the wall and the question is catch/no catch, if it's no catch they have to give the hitter a double. The placement of the runners was a joke.
They called it a no catch on the field so why would you change the placement of the runners when to current placement happend naturaly?

Im ready to never see this guy again.

Hopefully Pat Neshek is gone by Memorial Day, but what the fuck, Siegrist?

Shannon said the 1st base ump called "out." I didn't see it, but assume that's why the runners stopped.
I'm going to start hating Neshak now.

Placement of runners is never going to be perfect. That is the biggest issue i have with reply.

I was listening to the radio and Old Man Brennaman said one of the umpires definitely made an out call. Then there were two minutes of bloviating about Hamilton's speed because he almost got to the ball. Hamilton had a lot of almosts in the series - almost ran down a ball in the gap, almost made a diving catch on a ball hit in front of him, almost made a catch on a ball over his head, almost has a batting average ...

Ive been in and out of the game with family xuties but it seems Lynn is an average pitcher, jay cant field, adams can hit and wong is fast. Did i miss anything?
I think those are the takeaways, yes. Also that the bullpen might suck until Motte returns. Even then, who knows?

Here we go!

The two Cubs guys on XM Radio were making a big deal out of this today, suggesting MLB ought to take some sort of punitive action against Adams. I think Adams showed restraint. I would have punched the guy in the throat and told his girlfriend to try Jenny Craig.

He shouldnt have shoved him. He didnt do it hard and the crybaby shit about his knee is dumb. For fuck sake...grow a pair

He didn't shove him... I'm not saying there wasn't contact, and a little nudge, but Adams shoving that guy = that guy 4 rows back with his feet over his head. Nobody was hurt in any way, no need to even make it a story.

I agree. The shove/contact wasnt dont to harm the fan.

MLB is looking into Adams' push of the fan.
I fully expect him to receive some form of punishment. Hopefully it's just a fine, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a day off. MLB will want to send the message that fans are completely off-limits to contact.
