4/12 GC

No lineups. The Cardinals clearly need to atone for last night's douchebaggery.

Re: 4/12 GC

I feel like Wainwright is mediocre against the Cubs.

Now I'm going to have to look it up ...

Are you at the game?

Re: 4/12 GC

I don't want to suggest I'm pushing the panic button, because I'm not--hitters eventually hit--but if you're Mozeliak and the right offer came along for Craig, don't you have to seriously consider it?  They have 3 outfielders at Memphis, all of whom are really corner outfielders. I would think Craig being cost controlled for another 3 years would be really attractive.

Re: 4/12 GC

8-6 with a 4.24 ERA against the Cubs.
There are only two NL teams against which he has a losing record. Any educated guesses?

Without looking it up, TTTIB has always seemed to hit him well. I'll guess they're one.

For the other, I'll guess Rockies. I wouldn't think his curve would be very effective at Coors.

From a philosophical standpoint, I'd be more apt to trade Adams because he can only play one position and Craig can play three, at least theoretically, but if you're asking if we've seen the best of Allen Craig and his trade value won't be any higher than it is right now, I'd tend to be a bit more optimistic.
The problem occurs when he becomes such a defensive liability in the outfield that you have to move him or Adams. Unless the NL adopts the DH.

TTTIB is correct, He's 6-9 against them.
He's 6-1 with a 1.50 ERA against the Rockies. 2-0 at Coors Field.

Re: 4/12 GC

If Maness and/or Butler can't pitch in today's game, why are they on the team?

Re: 4/12 GC

Since you didn't post the answer I had to look it up. Surprised it's was the Mets. They've hit him pretty hard.

But not Beltran.

I understand Hrabosky trying to pump Maness' tires by acknowledging a scoreless inning, but he was missing location with just about every pitch. The only reason he didn't give up a run was because he was pitching to the bottom of the Cubs' order.
