Where are the Mets? I can't see them.

FS Reds has a third person in the booth tonight to laugh at everything Idiot Sidekick says:
"Cozart had a nice day at the plate yesterday ..."
"Ha Ha. Yeah. You know. He has. He did."

Josh Satin apparently going for the Adam LaRoche unibrow look.

I hate walking an 8th place hitter who's hitting under .200

Though Mejia might be the worst hitter I've seen since Pedro Martinez.

Those broadcasting lessons are paying off for Izzy.

That's just a phenomenal play by Tejada.

OK, time for the bats to wake up ...

Going on the fifth straight game without a home run.

So we're back to using Shano as the primary right-handed pinch-hitter with men on base in the late innings. You'd think after two years of watching that not work, they'd do something different.

Yeah, but there's nobody behind...oh wait.
Being shutout by the Mets is nice.

If I were still getting upset by these games, this game would have been upsetting.

I have some questikns about last nights game since i didnt see it.
1. How was lyons? 4 walk 6 hits. Is he ever going to be more then a memphis transit?
2. Whynis shane robinson still on the roster? One good reason?
3. Is that kyle farnsworth in the box scores?

1. Taking into account the Mets have only two players who can hit, he was mediocre. I have a new theory about minor league pitchers. They're on strict pitch limits, and the emphasis is on development over winning, so these guys have to stretch themselves out and learn how to win at the major league level. Last night, once Lyons reached 75 pitches, which is probably his limit at Memphis, it was clear he was cooked and he started missing the strike zone.
2. Shane Robinson is an excellent defensive outfielder with enough speed to swipe a base. Unfortunately, those two traits are irrelevant when he's asked to come up with a big hit with runners on base in the late innings.
3. That was indeed Kyle Fartworthy pitching for the Mets. You could almost sense the buzzards starting to circle until Peralta bailed him out by grounding into what seems like already his 451st double play of the season. In Peralta's defense, he hit the ball hard, but it was right at Wright, who was playing back and on the line, as he should have been with a 2-run lead in the ninth inning.

Robinson wouldnt be a bad bench player if the roster was different. Having jay and bourjos makes robinson redundant.
