Re: Well, I guess that's that

I hope they stick with Frazier.  I think he should make his first statement by putting Favre in the nursing home.

Re: Well, I guess that's that

The 2010 Vikings might be the worst mess disguised as a football team I've ever seen. And I've seen a lot over the past eight years.

Re: Well, I guess that's that

Fors takes me down. Thanks, Broncos defense.

It looks like me, AP and Greg will all lose. The top three spots are pretty much set -- Smelly Glove, Dolphin Fan and Fors. Now it's a race to the fourth seed.

"Thanks, Broncos defense."

What did you expect? The Donks gave up 59 points to the Raiders a month ago.
(Yeah, I still like writing 59-14 ... 59-14, 59-14, 59-14. I might even have that score etched onto my tombstone.)

59-14.

Wow is that defense bad. Be interesting to see if the Rams can actually take advantage of that next week.

It is. But the Chargers' offense is pretty good. And they're getting back Jackson and what ought to be a healthy Gates by the time the playoffs start. They're going to be a tough out.

Who are you and what have you done with the real Artie?  The real Artie would never consider the possibility of SD having playoff success.

Re: Well, I guess that's that

Yeah, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Norvall still the head coach?

The Chargers haven't won a playoff game in cold weather since...forever? I don't see them beating Brady in New England or Max Cady in Pittsburgh this season, either. Their best shot is to play the Jets, who will have hopefully run out of luck by that point.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I loathe the Chargers and their smelly pirate hooker of a quarterback as much as the next guy, but eight years of scrounging for scraps in the basement of the AFC West has taught me reality and humility.
Wait until 2011, though. The Raiders will return to their rightful place atop the division and triumph over the evil that is Philip Rivers.

They don't win warm weather playoff games either.
Enjoyed the Max Cady reference, BTW. Topical and appropriate.
I can't get a handle on the NFL this year. One week the Patriots look like the best team, and then they lose to the Browns. The next week the Giants look like the best team, and then they lose to the Cowboys. Now it looks like the Eagles are the best team. Until Michael Vick gets hurt again or Andy Reid mistakes him for a pound of bacon and swallows him whole.

Re: Well, I guess that's that

I assume the NFL likes it when everyone is up and down. Gamblers must be chewing their fingers off these days.
