Lynn vs. Ross. I hate west coast games.

they got this pitching count up. It is time to bust a big inning.

Not likely with this bunch.

Lynn can slide better than most of the position players .

These rules are stupid. Carpenter can't do anything but run into the tag.

Have the Cardinals ever won a challenge?

You listen to Mark Sweeney and Mark Kotsay and you wonder whether either one of them ever played baseball. Or attended an English class.
Sweeney: "Lynn struggled during the month of June and July last year."
If June and July were only one month last year, my bank owes me a mortgage payment.

I think Ross thought he should've been given first.

does every game have to be a one run affair

Sure seems that way.

That was an ugly inning.

Lynn needs to scream at himself for losing control of the strike zone.

That's awful. I know MLB hitters are going to get hits, but FFS, Lynn has been dicking around with the worst offense in baseball the last three innings.

Would you go get him please???

Pierzynski sucks at pitch framing, but Lynn really has no argument. I've got no problem with pitchers pleading their case, but he wasn't anywhere close on some of these pitches. That's the kind of unfocused bullshit that leads to these long innings. He's so distracted from the umpire that he just loses his ability to throw strikes.

Motte may as well be a white flag.

At least they won't lose any ground.

I don't think the plate umpire missed any of Lynn's pitches. He gave Ross a strike to Carpenter that was low during Carpenter's second at bat, and he missed another one to another left-handed batter (Jay?) in the middle innings, but the Cardinals aren't trailing in this game because of the home plate umpire.

He seemed to be headed that way. And Roberts was on the phone with whomever looks at the replay.

Wong needs to go to a remedial baseball class or something.

Cant blame lynn to much. The padres are not good but they are still a major league team. Lynn held them to one earned run. Anytime a pitcher does that he should win. The idea of getting hamels or price is exciting. Even the best pitchers can win games if they have no room for error. Lynn does lose his mind. I would to if the offense was that bad.
