Re: 7/2 GC

I turn on in time to see Reynolds swing/miss at off plate garbage.  Bourjuous dribble to P?  Hard to take them seriously.  some good news:  SFO got swept in MIA!  ha-ha!

I'd be inclined to play Scruggs every day for the next two weeks to see what he can do. If he's not ready, send him back to Memphis and make a move to pick up a bat. Either way, Reynolds isn't the answer there for the rest of the season.

Yeah, that's unusual. Normally, you'd get an alternate game on MLBN to protect the home market.

This is the Randal-Grichuk-was-drafted-before-Mike-Trout portion of the broadcast ...

Scruggs is going to be 28 in a few months.  If he isnt ready by now he isnt going to be.  Im on board with giving him the starting job at this point tho.  I agree with VEB on a likely best case scenario being a platoon of scruggs and a mystery left handed first baseman.  I believe they site scruggs .900+ ops in the minors vs lefties.

Re: 7/2 GC

Im done with cooney...this was some poor planning.  Lyons would have been a better option.  Villawhatever wouldnt have been horrible.  Id rather see them call brad thompson before they call cooney again.

Re: 7/2 GC

Mozeliak will have to make a move for a bat. This offense can't count on Holliday just showing up and changing their fortunes.

Lyons was demoted a week ago, so he wasn't an option unfortunately.

Grichuk in center with holliday in left will help.  Couple that with a move for a left handed first baseman (at minimum) and I believe they can improve.

The tiebreaker for me tonight is HD. The FSMW version is on regular def. The only time I'll opt for regular definition over HD is if FS Ohio is the HD option.

Right now the hardest thing is shaking off the anesthesia. I feel like everything is in slow motion right now.

When he comes off the DL, it'll be just like making a trade for a big bat.

Behold Pat Murphy, notorious wrecker of arms. How Mike Leake was able to escape ASU with his right arm still attached to his body is a mystery.

I think someone should start to do something about the way Grichuk holds the bat, ridiculous! Too much to do before the ball gets there, not even a power position.  nothing "normal" about it.  How did he get this far along? Who is the hitting coach Tanya Harding!  come-on!  Agreed, time for Earl Scruggs and maybe Lester Garcia to play more!

All this said,  tied up 3-3 and have won 50+games?   107 win pace?
