7/8 GC

The first four pitches to Carpenter were all outside the strike zone and the count was 2-2.
Good to know the umpire isn't carriyng over a grudge from last night's game.

Re: 7/8 GC

Two different strike zones so far. Another umpire who thinks people care about him.

Probably needed to get more than two runs out of that.

Apparently the best way for us to score is not load the bases.......

They're going crazy in Jolly Rodger Land. The PxP guy last night almost soiled himself exclaiming the Pirates were only 4.5 games back.
They're going to be very bloodthirsty this weekend.

Re: 7/8 GC

No idea what's going on with Carpenter. I hope he hasn't come down with Allen Craigitis.

Re: 7/8 GC

Brutal night of umpiring. The zone hasn't been this small since 2000.

Re: 7/8 GC

But again, if a pitcher can just field his position, it's an entirely different ballgame.

Terrific idea, bringing in Socolovich with an umpire who already has a strike zone the size of a teacup.
