Think it's safe to assume Carpenter will stay in the lead off spot.

I hope carp is hot like this in the playoffs. In about a week he went from having a off year to one of the best.

I remember one of the criticisms of moving him to third was he lacked enough power for the position. He may lead this team in HRs when the year is finished.
They could have 3 guys reach 20 HRs and none of them be Holliday, Afams or Heyward.

Piscotty has made the absence of holliday seem minor. I know there was alot of negativity toward moving holliday to first but if it could be done this off season it would be a good idea.

My opinion was why make the best second baseman in the league a third baseman. It is generally easier to find a third baseman who can hit for power then a decent second baseman. Especially with the history the cards have at second. Wong has proven to be the real deal tho. If an aaron miles type player was manning second base id probably still be saying to shift carp to second and look for a third baseman.

Yeah. Had a bad feeling as the 8th was going. I was pleasantly surprised when Siegrist got the out (I expected him to walk the guy), but that was a short-lived feeling.
Need to shake it off and get ready for Pittsburgh
