9/21 GC

Monday, 7:15 p.m.
LH Jaime Garcia (9-5, 2.52 ERA) vs. LH John Lamb (1-3, 5.35)
Tuesday, 7:15 p.m.
RH John Lackey (12-9, 2.79) vs. RH Keyvius Sampson (2-5, 7.09)
 Wednesday 7:15 p.m.
RH Lance Lynn (11-10, 3.28) vs. LH Brandon Finnegan (1-0, 1.17)

The good news is they miss DeSclafani in this series. He's become kryptonite for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals are making Spicoli look like Warren Spahn.

Lamb is perfect for the hillbilly enclave that is Cincinnati.

I don't think he'll fit in at all. He grew up in SoCal, so the people in Cincinnati will probably be envious that he's familiar with all that fancy indoor plumbing and stuff.

Watching Cruz struggle trying to catch Garcia tonight is another thing that makes you appreciate how good Yadi is.

There's a good dick joke in there somewhere, but I'm so annoyed with the Cardinals right now I'm not going to go looking for it.

That's surprising. He looks like Mat Latos with 30 fewer IQ points. And someone who owns at least four pit bulls that hang around his Kentucky double-wide.

Latos grew up in a town in Broward County which is famous for a landfill.

It's fine to guard the line late in the game, but Carpenter is so close that anything to his right is going to be foul.

I feel like I've seen that win 83 times or so this season.

Re: 9/21 GC

This has nothing to do with the Cardinals, but Shelby Miller lost again tonight. He's 0-11 since the All-Star Game.

That's gotta hurt.

Re: 9/21 GC

It's social media night on CSN Chicago. Keith_Gibson_13 just tweeted that when the Cubs clinch a playoff birth (sic), it will be a wedding present for him. I'm sure the team is using that for motivation.

I saw that. How often do you think he wakes up in the middle of the night wondering what the heck happened to his sweet gig in St. Louis?

I think the number is 93. They had one game where they blew out the Diamondbacks a couple of months ago.
