If anyone is watching, please tell me how Carpenter got doubled off at third when there wasn't a force play?

Piscotty tapped one back to Eickhoff. Carpenter broke too early and Eickhoff caught him as he dove back for second. Piscotty was loafing down the line and thrown out by about five steps.

He may have pulled something stretching for a putout.

Great, Rosenthal's about to have a 35 pitch inning and not be available tomorrow.

Piscotty's catch saved a big inning.

...and kept Rosenthal's pitch count well within a range allowing three relief appearances against the Pirates. Good job.

Only 26 pitches. Still probably not available tomorrow.

Watching the highlights now. Moss' home run was a bomb.

Liriano is pitching tomorrow. The Cardinals won't need him.
