I may be wrong, but I don't recall his ever having gotten a real shot at starting when that was his preference. If he's truly a lost cause as a closer and his market is diminished, I wonder if there'd be any value in offering to try converting him.
And this is what makes Walden's vaporization all the more frustrating.

They will not give up on him so easy, nor do i think they should. Maybe they just need to take him out of the closer role for awhile. Oh is clearly the most dominant reliever on the team. Does anyone remember how long they stuck with ryan franklin?
