Why is this Man Laughing?

For many years, Esquire magazine had a once a year issue that featured what they called "Dubious Achievement" awards, which poked fun at various celebrities.  It was always my favorite issue of any magazine.  But I haven't seen it in years and have no idea if they have continued it.

After the '64 elections, their Jan. '65 issue (or maybe Dec. '64) included a snapshot of Richard Nixon laughing his ass off with the caption, "Why is this man laughing?"  The same photo and caption was interspersed thoughout the section.  As you may know, Nixon had campaigned hard for Goldwater in '64 even though it had become obvious that it was a losing cause  and he gained much credit within the party for doing so.  But he was on the losing side.  And in 1962, he had been upset in a race for governor of California by "Pat Brown," after which he gave an embittered speech in which he told the press "You won't have Richard Nixon to kick around anymore."

Ever since Luke Voit came up, I've been thinking that I'd like very much to post a picture of Matt Carpenter with a caption of "Why is this man laughing?"  Unfortunately, I can't find any pictures of Carpenter laughing and I wouldn't know how to post it if I could.
