The Lizard King gets through the bottom of the first without soiling himself.

Re: 4/2 Brewers' home opener crap

Carpenter just went first to third on a single.  Clearly the Oquendo effect.

I dont think matheny is capable but i think all 4 infield spots need rotated.  Martinez has been great dating back into last year and dejong as well.  Still i think those two and the more seasoned members, wong, carp and gyorko could benifit from less exposure/more rest.

Martinez is a great story, but he's such a defensive liability. He's not the worst defensive player I've ever seen (Hello there, Adam Dunn), but he's on a short list.

I was speaking in terms of offense.  He is so herky jerky.

He doesn’t look like he’s gonna draw too many base on balls .

Re: 4/2 Brewers' home opener crap

Hicks has been impressive.  The best case scenario has the cards bullpen being very reliable.

Re: 4/2 Brewers' home opener crap

Holland is simply keeping the closer position warm until 2019 when Hicks takes that role for the indefinite future.

Jaime Garcia is starting for the Blue Jays, with Diaz at short and Grichuk in right.
