I was going to ask if anyone can remember a team being seven games out two weeks into the season, but the Rangers and the Rays are already eight games out, and the Marlins are 7.5 games in back of the Mets.

I usually think a split of a 4-game series on the road is a decent result. Assuming the Cardinals finish off this game, if they don't win tomorrow with Martinez on the mound and sweep, I'm going to be disappointed.

Redbirds won 3-1 last night. Poncedeleon gave up a homer in the first. Got 12 k's in 5 innings pitched. Guilment got the save. Mercado was 3 for 4 with 2 stolen bases. Schrock also had 2 stolen bases.

Why is the continued success at triple A not transfered to the big leagues? I have ideas but im curious as to how you will answer.
