Game officially cancelled.
In Memphis, Tyler O'Neal hit his 5th and 6th HRs today. In 11 games he's hitting .432 with 6 HR and 18 RBI.

Id take him in right field

I'll throw one more in there, since Don mentioned Wong.
Max Schrock is hitting .408 at Memphis with 5 multi-hit games in his last 10 games. As an added bonus, in 51 plate appearances, Schrock has struck out a total of 3 times. He also has 4 SBs.

Well crap.
I should have looked at the latest thread first.
Hudson had a solid 6 innings and Guilmet got another save. Mercado was 1 for 5 with another homer.
I have to believe that Mo and crew are on the phone trying to give away some folks on the big club.

Gyorko was activated from the DL and Munoz sent down to Memphis.

So was Gregerson and Mayers was returned to Memphis. Much needed roster additions for the Redbirds.
I confess that i actually thought there was a chance they would send Munoz to AA.

I dont see much roster churn on this team. It seems the FO will stick with fowler, carp and wong untill free agency at this point.

So would I, but after this weekend I'd also say Bader has earned a better look than he's gotten.
Of course, Fouler will be in the lineup tonight, and in the rare event he gets to first base, we'll be able to see him laughing and carrying on with his good buddy Rizzo, assuming the report I read Rizzo is coming off the DL today is correct.

I figure bader would produce if he is actually used. Your correct as far as fowler. Bad signing that i was okay with at the time. But just okay. Not excited. I highly doubt fowler leaves stl before his contract expires. The outfield log jam will be an on going issue. Afraid that better outfielders will be shipped out while others remain on the major league roster.

I saw Bader leave his feet to catch two lines drives, and he nearly caught a third. In two games. I don't recall Fouler leaving his feet. Ever.

I'm pretty sure that Bader and Mercado are the best defensive outfielders, given Ozuna's crippled wing. I'm beginning to think that they have a lot of defenders better than Fowler.
I was one who was mildly displeased when then signed Fowler, simply because I wanted them to wait on Sierra and Bader. But I've learned to really like the guy. I just think they have way overpaid him.

I havent seen much out of fowler that makes me think he is worth blocking prospects over or to even be excited about.

I thought he'd be a pretty good addition, because it seemed like every time the Cubs played the Cardinals, he was either on base or circling them after he'd hit one into the seats.
But he just seems like he's been a different guy in St. Louis. Maybe he just liked the group in Chicago more. I know if I made whatever salary Fouler is making to play baseball, I'd like to think I'd be able to suck it up, but in a certain respect these guys are no different than anyone else in that they don't perform as well as they should at their jobs when they're unhappy.
