Milk it for what it's worth. Tell the wife a little sex play will make it better

Tried that. I think the fact that she may have to do more of the work made it a solid no. 12 years on sunday.

I covered high school sports for 30 years in Eastern Massachusetts and I've never heard of Notre Dame Cristo Rey. Maybe it's a new school. I don't know.

it may be but it was a good managerial move.

One way to make W.D. seem less awful. Put Brad Thompson in the booth with him.

I dont agree with calling someone up that his kind of potential, who is hitting as well as he is and not play them. I mean he is killing the ball in Memphis and then you call him up to the majors and sit him on the bench. I think it is a good way to kill a guys season.

He seems to be the same as a broadcaster as he was as a player - a really good guy who is relatively useless.
I think Edmonds has become better, though. He's still not great, but he is at least speaking in complete sentences.

Im not minding brad thompson. I always liked him as a player. Not that im argueing with arties lable of useless. I always felt like he was a bad pitcher playing to the level of average. I respect guys who overachieve.

I have liked Edmonds from the get go but some of his comments have been a little too much self-romotion for me. But I think he's damn smart.
I never thought of Brad Thompson as such a great guy. He looks like he would be but it always seemed to me when he playing that he had a pretty nasty streak under the surface. But what the hell do I know. I've never met the guy..

I think it is ridiculous that managers get a chance to pause the game so they can review the call and then if they believe it is challengable theyask for a review. Imo if it is a bad call the manager should make that call immediately without info from clubhouse.

Edmonds got a bad rap because he came across as “west coast,” but he was one of the smarter hitters the Cardinals had. Back in the early 2000’s, when they still played in Busch II and I spent more time in the video room, Edmonds would occasionally come back and hang out. If the pitcher did anything remotely different from one pitch to another, Edmonds saw it. More often than not, he had a pretty good idea what was coming.
I used to love sitting down there and just listening. The best was when Schoendienst would come in the room. Red was like your grandpa—if every third word out of your grandpa’s mouth was fuck, cocksucker or fucking cocksucker.

The only Cardinals' player my wife has ever cared about is Jim Edmonds. I guess his wife is on one of those Real Housewives shows that makes me leave the room.

Should I be impressed with what Wacha is doing tonight, or is this more about the Reds being awful?
