Yep, short terms deal according to an interview. Brebbia is up. Hopefully he is shuffled back down and flaherty gets a start.

Reds suck

I'm sure Thompson's prayers will help Danny Farquhar recuperate.

I've probably seen worse major league baseball teams, but I can't remember when.

Good grief, Carpenter. A high school player makes that play 99 percent of the time.

That was embarrassingly bad. But he’ll walk later and make up for it.

Cardinals made them feel a little better about themselfs, unfortunately.

Two gift runs. This game should be 6-0.

He seems to have found his warning track power now that he's back in the leadoff spot.

The only thing the Lizard King and Leake have in common is they're right handed.

I though suppan was a good comparison.

That'll help.

He is piling up the power stats.

So the Cardinals are 7-0 against the Reds and 6-8 against major league teams.

Is that how you say "Go fuck yourself" in Venezuelan?

The Cardinals need more games against Cincinnati.

Mets have a decent record so we will see how this week goes.

As Fors suggests, the key element for the Cardinals this year has been playing the Reds. I think this weekend illuminates the need to play Wong at second base and leave him alone. They don't win Saturday's game without him making that catch, and he made a play up the middle yesterday that no one else on the team comes close to making. More than maybe any major league baseball player (or any adult for that matter), he needs the affirmation that he's the guy. Play Gyorko at third. Play Bader in centerfield or rightfield when Pham returns and lead him off. The kid's speed creates chaos for the other team, and he's a jim dandy defensive player.
I know Yadi is going bonkers at the plate right now, but you've got to sit him at least once a week. It's almost criminal for Pena to have only six at bats through the first 21 games.
I agree with the notion Flats is wasting his time in Memphis, but an equal waste of time is debating whether under the current manager he'll supplant Wainwright in the rotation, as long as Wainwright's arm is still attached to his body.
The conventional wisdom is the bullpen will sort itself out once Holland is up to speed and becomes the closer, and Cecil returns, but I still have concerns. Hicks has papered over a lot of the problems out there so far.

Id love to see fowler move into an at least semi regular role instead of everyday player. Bader does nees to play, no doubt. Im still excited about oneill but it looks as if a bench role is not his game. Must be one of the few self proclaimed things he isnt good at.

That must have been quite an interview you saw. His body language backs up your take. I'll bet there's more than one mirror in his apartment.
