Gyorko to the DL

OK, I'll just throw this out there.  I just saw that the Blue Jays were passing Josh Donaldson through waivers for the purpose of trading him to make room for Vlad Guerrero, Jr.  Donaldson just started his injury rehab.

With Gyorko on the DL indefinitely, and the Blue Jays apparently willing to eat the remainder of this year's salary to move Donaldson, would you put in the claim and try to work something out with Toronto?

Re: Gyorko to the DL

Id hate to give up to much for donaldson being that he may not be very effective for the remainder of 2018.  Who knows if he will regain hitting form in the short time left and he wasnt exactly setting the world on fire prior to getting hurt.  However, if it doesnt cost much for him, why not.  I wouldnt give up a legitimate prospect.

Gyorko going down give adams a open door.  Also wisdom was called back up when wong went on the dl.  He was promising the first time up.  I really dont see the cards offering anything yo the blue jays that is meaningful.

Re: Gyorko to the DL

You're correct he didn't do much this season.  But in the last 3 seasons, he's averaged .285 with 37 HR and 100 RBI.

I'd love to see them make a move to get him and try to re-sign him to a 2-3 year deal after the season.

He didn’t sound optimistic when he spoke to the media last night. Hopefully it’s just 10 days, but I haven’t seen anything specific.

He’ll be 33. If he wants more than 3 years he’ll be unemployed.
