Stand up triple....sort of

What a waste. Not getting a runner in from third with no outs is my largest annoyance.

I'm not able to get the Cardinals broadcast, for whatever reason. Brennaman and Idiot Sidekick.

Idiot sidekick: "I don't know if pitch counts have ever meant less, since they started counting them."
WTF does that mean?!?

Before pitch counts were invented they were meaningless. Its a pretty solid theory.

Going into Bruins mode on the TV and following the Cardinals on the internet.

Carpenter draws a nice walk.

Was that a 6-pitch inning?

MLB.com just put up a no-hitter alert. So you know what the Reds' first hitter in the sixth will do ...

I just got home from Madison’s softball games. I was about to type that I wasn’t going to turn it on until the MLB no-hitter thing went away, but before I could type that, the game is tied.

Get him out of the game, because this is going to unravel quickly.

So it's your fault. You think you know a guy ...
BTW, watched Survivor this morning. Best tribal ever?

I never had any concern that Madison was a “delicate flower,” but after today I think she might be part hockey player.
She dove for a ball at SS and rolled her wrist the wrong way. Her coach thought she broke it because she was initially in a lot of pain and it hurt to move. They got her to the dugout, wrapped some ice on it and gave her some Advil.
About 5 minutes later, she walked up to her coach, took the ice off and asked to go back in the game. She finished the game and had a hit and a sacrifice fly after hurting her wrist.
I love that kid. And it’s going to be interesting watching some little boy try to date her. I can already picture that kid having to explain to his dad how his date kicked his ass.

Why was she playing shortstop?

Definitely one of the most entertaining. This whole season has actually been very entertaining.

My favorite part was when David asked Wentworth "What was the plan?"
"The plan was you."
Second best part was when Julia told Wardog to shut up.

Long story. The short version is she’s the best SS on the team, and her coach would rather sacrifice some outfield defense for infield defense. It’s probably a mistake, but it is what it is.
There’s another girl who will play SS when she’s available, but she’s from Illinois, and their high school season is in session so she can’t play club right now. She also pitches, so when she pitches, Madison will play SS.

I hope you're not paying attention to the Bruins/Leafs game, because Rask is playing well.

Obviously a lot of what happens ends up on the cutting room floor. But that’s 2 episodes in a row where I was certain Wentworth would play her idol just in case and 2 straight episodes where she felt safe enough to not do it.
