Maybe a silver lining to baders injury is oneill forcing his way into the everyday lineup.

CBS Sports is reporting Bader is day-to-day. But aren't we all?

Hudson throws three pitches in the strike zone and the count is 2-1.

What happened to O'Neill?

Take a belt high hanging curve with two strikes and runners on first and second and no outs ..

I would dominate my fantasy league if Yelich could play the Cardinals 162 games

Whiskey Dan and His Idiot companion are reporting that he was pulled with a sore arm
I've only watched scattered portions of the game but Kulpa is calling home plate about the worst I've ever seen.

I probably shouldn’t have laughed as hard as I did watching Kulpa get hit square in the dome.

"Kulpa is calling home plate about the worst I've ever seen."
He doesn't know how to duck, either.
Too soon?

After his nice walk, the Cardinals lead off batter can’t score from 3rd on a medium depth fly ball to CF.
Offline
That should score Carpenter from third.
Offline
At least Carpenter was able to score from third on a single to CF.

I'm about fucking done with Mayers.

Now I'm really fucking done with Mayers.

Can you please get him the fuck out of the game?!?

It’s a good thing Mayer’s made the team because he’s out of options. What a shame it would be to lose him.

But he pitched so well in Spring Training!

When are they going to stop describing the Cardinals as having a runner in scoring position when Carpenter is at second?

When he gets thrown out at home on a triple by Goldschmidt.

It was pretty telling watching Goldschmidt go from 1st to 3rd on a single hit to pretty much the exact same spot from which Carpenter couldn’t score on a fly ball

If the Cardinals' strategy is trying to wear out Yelich by making him jog around the bases, it's not working.

Ok Mags, you’re my best resource for a question like this. Bob just forwarded to me an email one of his teammates received. Thank goodness it wasn’t Bob or I might be spending a night in a Memphis jail.
Rhodes requires all incoming students to take a 3 semester class: Search or Life. Life is a religious studies class. Search is similar, but it’s more philosophy (Homer, Socrates, Vergil, etc). Once you choose, you have to complete 3 semesters of that class.
One of Bob’s teammates is taking Life. They just did their schedule requests for next semester. The kid chose a section offered at a time that didn’t conflict with his other classes or his football obligations. Tonight, he received an email from the professor “thanking him for his interest,” but suggesting he take a different class (he can’t) or a different section because “in my experience, athletes, particularly football players, don’t do well in my class because their time obligation to their sport makes it difficult to succeed in the class.”
That’s horseshit. The kid has to take the class. I have no idea if another section works with his schedule, but it seems the kid is in a much better position to understand his time obligations. This guy just seems to have a hard on for athletes and doesn’t want them in his class. But if the kid stands his ground, it seems the professor has a built in excuse by saying “I told him he might not do well.” I’d be pissed if I was that kid’s dad.

He needs the barry bonds treatment. Dont pitch to him. Ever. If they would of walked him ever at bat they would have more wins then they do now. Stop letting their best player beat you single handedly.

La Russa would have started walking him in game two of the opening series.
This is way off your point, but Bonds and Yelich seem about as opposite in terms of their personalities as you can get.
I can't imagine Yelich's first impression with the Brewers involved him walking locker room, pointing to all the pitchers he had homered off and yelling at them: "I got you … and I got you … and I got you …"

The size of mistake shildt is making by allowing his guys to pitch to him is being overlooked. Its bore line insane at this point.
No it isn't. The decision to pitch to Yelich, and the decision to let Mayers pitch to Yelich instead of Miller were pretty much the only topics on morning radio this a.m.
