Can Thompson utter a single sentence without using a cliche?

I'm going to watch hockey.

The Cardinals convinced themselves they have more quality starting pitching than they actually have.

They essentially named Mikolas their ace based on 1 season. It’s like they forgot he’s been in Japan the previous years because no one wanted him.

They wanted Flaherty to be a #2. He’ll be a very good starter in this league. But he’s still a kid

They don’t really have a 3, and arguably don’t have a 4. On a good team Wacha and Hudson are 5s. Wainwright is a coach

I still think they’ll hit, but their lineup is less than optimal with Carpenter leading off. Right now Fouler would be the ideal leadoff guy, but he’s batting 7th because they can’t/won’t move Carpenter.

Matheny refused to use analytics. Now they’re becoming overly reliant. I don’t care about a guy’s exit velocity or hard contact rate. At some point, a guy hitting .200 is just a .200 hitter. Don’t insult my intelligence trying to tell me otherwise.
