Wacha is getting hammered by a team that is 16-31.

The Cardinals have one hit through six innings off Helen Keller.

The optimism I had when the Cardinals were 20-10 has completely dissipated.

In case you're wondering, first pitch of the second loss of the doubleheader is scheduled for 6:45 local time.

Re: 5/22 Game 1 crap

I know you have a rooting interest in the opposition, but the greater the Blues success, I think the more pressure it will put on the Cardinals to actually try to fix this crap.  The Blues will be playing hockey into June.  Right now no one--I mean no one cares about the Cardinals.  That's actually been good for the Cardinals because they've been so bad, but assuming this trend continues, and assuming they miss the playoffs again, by August/September, sports fans in St. Louis are going to care more about the Blues than the Cardinals, and that's going to mean a lot of empty seats at Busch Stadium.

My reaction to this was: "Maybe they'll be able to trade Our MVP Candidate without too many people noticing."

Never given this less of a shit about the cardinals.  It is to the point of why waste my time watching this team until they pick it back up.
