So, the first three batters are an illustration of why Matt Carpenter is killing the Cardinals. I'm relatively certain Bader, Wong or Fowler go to third on Goldschmidt's hit down the line. If the throw goes to third, Goldschmidt probably takes second. Bader, Wong or Fowler probably score on DeJong's fly ball. 
I acknowledge it worked out for the Cardinals because Ozuna hit a home run, but I reiterate Carpenter is strangling the Cardinals' offense. His acolytes will claim he gets on base, but Bader's OBP this year is higher than Carpenter's career OBP. 
It's just getting silly at this point. Carpenter's OPS is .668. Orlando Arcia, - who was sent down to the minors last year because he can't hit - has a higher OPS at this point. And we're talking about 200+ PAs. It's a decent sample size.
