The Cardinals will announce a strain but recommend rest. Hudson will be deemed fit to start spring training, make 3 spring starts before getting shutdown with “dead arm.” He’ll be sidelined until late April, make one start lasting an inning and a third before the team announces he needs TJ surgery and will miss the rest of 2021 and all of 2022.
