    Skip cost us a run because he couldnt field the throw to second cleanly. 
    Franklin allows a slappy to take him 400 FT.
    Pujols hits into 3 double plays killing every rally in the game. 

    Other than that everyone has hit.

    It's not a good sign when Motte is left on the bench for Augenstein.

    I need Mozeliak to remind me why Brendan Ryan and a tight clubhouse was the reason they floundered last season. Because I'm pretty sure it has more to do with shitty playing.

    I thought they looked alright today.  Not great but alright.  I see that adding a few new guys didnt cure sloppy fielding and falling asleep on the basepads.  If Pujols did stink up the field today it would have been a blowout.  He has got to stop pressing.  He did the same thing last year early.  He has rolled over on more pitches in the last year then he has his whole career.  I am sure he will put up a Pujols like year but they have to take advantage of the easy April.  Pujols likely cost them a couple runs today.

    We have to remember that Motte sucks and isnt really a pitcher.

    I dont know what to think of him and how he fits on this team yet.  He doesnt look 40 though. 

    Berkman does look to be in pretty good shape.  Molina also looks thinner then he has in the past.

    Hey, Augenstein only gave up one run during spring training.
    Two runs, including the winning run, allowed because middle infielders can't catch the ball. Pujols grounding into three double plays in the same game for the first time in his career. Narcolepsy on the basepaths. A game-tying homer with two outs in the ninth by a guy who normally can't hit the ball out of his hand over the fence from shallow centerfield. I'd say it's about as shitty an Opening Day as I can remember.
    But, hey, at least I'll wake up tomorrow and get to shovel snow before I go to work.
    Anyone else have a good day?

    I was thinking the game slowed down.  I didnt know if it was as bad as it seemed or if it just seemed that way because Carp left the mound.  Carp throws two pitches to most pitchers one.  It really makes a game easy to watch.

    You know what really bothers me? Snow in April. Because snow means the 20-mile commute that begins from a home I can't afford in a town filled with arrogant, rude people ends 90 minutes later at an office where I have a job for which I receive slave wages and becomes more obsolete every time the calendar changes. My only solace is one day I'm going to show up here and find the front door locked, permanently. Then I'm going to get in my car and I'm not going to get out until I get to a place where the words "wind" and "chill" have never been used consecutively.
