Line drive rip by Pujols. I'm worried that I'm not worried about Pujols.

Cards are tattooing Johnson early.

Did Pujols get thrown out trying to go from first to third?

Yeah and it wasnt close. The slide looked 15 day DL-ish. Pujols got thrown out at third with less then 2 outs. Last night he should have been thrown out at home but they made a poor throw. I guess you win some, you lose some.

I 'spose with one out it's acceptable, but you really don't want to give up outs on the bases against a guy who came into the game with an 0.88 ERA ... who just walked Laird. Never mind.

Have the Marlins hit anything hard this inning?
- G. Dobbs singled to shallow left center
- J. Buck singled to right, G. Dobbs to second
- O. Infante singled to shallow center, G. Dobbs scored, J. Buck to second
- J. Johnson singled to shallow left, J. Buck scored, O. Infante to second

Ya gotta make a pitching change here and make Berkman bat as a righty here, don't you?

Matt freakin' Holliday!!!!!
Almost makes you wish Cowboy was around to tell us what a mistake the Holliday signing was.
Emphasis on "almost."

Lance freakin' Berkman
OK, who had Berkman in the pool for first Cardinal to reach 10 HR?

Well, I thought he COULD get there, but it would take until August or so.
I can't remember a worse series of umpiring.

Sort of Izzy-like. Walk, double play, walk, 3rd out.

"Josh Johnson tomorrow. Any chance there's rain in the forecast?"
Would you believe it started raining about 10 minutes after they finished beating Johnson?
Let me re-phrase that. "after they finished beating JOSH Johnson." For some reason I have a feeling that if I post something about the Cardinals beating Johnson, this thread will go downhill fast.

I still think Cowboy is my mother-in-law.

Too late, since it needs to be pointed out they've beaten Johnson just before Busch got wet.
So we've had a Dirty Sanchez reference and a beaten Johnson reference in the same week. The only way the Brewers can keep up is if they bring a player named Rusty Trombone with them this weekend.
