7/5 Gamecrap

Posting this early to let Max know tonight's Cardinals/Reds game is available in high definition on The Worldwide Leader.

Re: 7/5 Gamecrap

Dare we say it?

1. Theriot
2. Rasmus
3. Pujols
4. Holliday
5. Berkman
6. Freese
7. Molina
8. Schumaker
9. Garcia

I don't believe this lineup has been together in two months.

Re: 7/5 Gamecrap

Supposedly Pujols' return is subject to the pre-game warmup and how his wrist responds to that effort.

Crap.  I've already committed to driving my wife's family up to Mt. Baker to see snow.

Re: 7/5 Gamecrap

Kismet, thy name is Cardinals.

In another stroke of good luck, it seems that Brian Tallet retroactively injured himself, thereby making room for Pujols.  And we can all breathe a sigh of relief that the Cardinal's reputation for not playing around with the DL as means to juggle roster moves remains intact.  *whew*  And I was worried that it might look bad.

Re: 7/5 Gamecrap

I'm hoping TLR is just being his normal, weird self and screwing around with not starting Pujols.

What's the big deal? It's not like they've traveled halfway across the globe to see something they can't see at home ...
... wait, I'll come in again.

Re: 7/5 Gamecrap

MLBN reporting Pujols has been activited, not in the starting lineup but available to pinch-hit.

Yeah, I am not sure it is worth bringing him of the DL just to pinch hit.  However if Tallet is all the team lost then it isnt such a bad deal.

Re: 7/5 Gamecrap

What I read is that he's fully available, but they decided not to start him.  Meaning Pujols could not only pinch hit, but also go into the game as a defensive replacement or stay in the game after he pinch hits.

Re: 7/5 Gamecrap

La Russa is just over-thinking this. He went through a battery of tests today on the field. The doctors have cleared him to play. Just put him on the damn field.

Berkman is hitting a ridiculous amount of bombs.

Holliday hit a pretty good pitch.
Berkman didn't.

Re: 7/5 Gamecrap

For those not watching on FSMW, Berkman's home run was the longest in B3.

Berkman's HR est at 452 feet, breaking the Busch III record held by Ludwick of 450

I might switch. I like K-Zone, but it's distracting when it's on the screen constantly.

I believe if you look up the term "win-win" in the dictionary, one of the definitions is "Pujols activated; Tallet to the DL."

That would be so unlike him.
