It was hard not to like him while playing for the Stros. He is a guys guy and you can see what this team has been missing.

"I think I've proven over the course of my career that I can play outfield and first base. That's probably all your options (as a lefthanded thrower), except maybe coming out of the bullpen. I haven't tried that yet."
Given the performance of our LOOGYs, I'd suggest Berkman start limbering up his arm. His mound debut may not be far away.
