Re: 7/19 Gamecrap

Gallardo popped out to end the top of the first inning. How many times do you see the pitcher bat before he throws a pitch?

Re: 7/19 Gamecrap

How many pitches will it take in the bottom of the first for Gracie to say "There's a lotta ballgame left ...?"

I probably deserve partial credit because he used the term "chip away" twice.

Re: 7/19 Gamecrap

Enright comes back with a 7-pitch inning. In the Brewers' defense, they were probably still tired from running around the bases in the first.

Re: 7/19 Gamecrap

Only eight baseball months left of Lohse and Westbrook wearing BotB.

Re: 7/19 Gamecrap

There must be an explanation for why Lohse was so effective for the first two months and so ineffective since then.

Aye. I just hope he doesn't get two more by the time the Cardinals leave town.

They are in NY.

I think it is called reverting to the norm.

Re: 7/19 Gamecrap

Possibly.  But something was way off tonight,  Ground balls-fly balls 7-10.  Even so, he was damned close to making it a decent game.  Except for one stupid pitch to Pagan and one understandable, but ultimately failed pitching change that Lohse had no control over, he kept getting out of jams in spite of clearly not having his best stuff.
