I know it seems the Cardinals cant catch a break but they get lucky with the roster right now. If Cruz wasnt able to still on the roster earlier they would have to make a move during Molina's suspension.
The Marlins are hot right now, winning 8 of their last 10. This wont be the Cardinals last chance but it is an important one. The afford to lose much more ground.

This is weird:
MIAMI -- The Cardinals are making their last regular-season visit to Sun Life Stadium (Joe Robbie Stadium, Pro Player Stadium, etc.) this weekend but they are scheduled to play the first regular-season game at the Florida Marlins' new digs next April 4, according to multiple major league sources.
The Cardinals, who share spring training facilities at Jupiter, Fla., with the Marlins, are scheduled to play just one season-opening game, on a Wednesday, against the Marlins before moving on to a weekend series elsewhere. They then would return to face the Marlins in a more extended series later.

The Brewers are on the road, but they're playing the AAstros.

90 degrees with 65 percent humidity at 7 p.m.
I have no idea how anyone lives in Miami during the summer.

Home alone? So if the game gets out early we get to hear a plot breakdown to "school girl sluts volume 12".

Tonight's late night Skinemax feature is "The Hills Have Thighs," described thusly: "Sex-crazed backwoods mutants take advantage of a lost hiker."
Sounds like a long weekend in New Hampshire.

The one-game series or the fact that the Marlins need a new stadium? Any truth to the rumor that they plan to add more grandstand seats in the outfield? Did you see that HR by Pujols? I think it bounced off an iguana before rolling under some sagebrush.

We had a scorcher. 78 degrees, but mercifully it's cooling off now.

This game is a mess.

"The one-game series"
Yes. I think the Marlins have invented an oxymoron.

The Marlins' announcers reported Freese has a "mild concussion." If there is such a thing.

I hate summer but one thing I hate more then summer heat is the bugs. We get millions of tiny gnats that make the nice weather of spring unbearable. Then in the early wet part of summer we get mosquitoes that could chew your arm off. Finally the heat fully takes over and drys up water killing the mosquitoes and we get blessed with the closest thing to the devil, chiggers. There is nothing good about a chigger. They craw up you pant leg and find a home in a spot that is tight like you sock line, waist line, back of the knee or balls. Then they dig into your hide and make a home for a few days causing you to itch like your life depended on it. Soon a bug bite has become an open wound that itchs and then hurts when you touch it. The best way to kill then is fingernail polish. Putting on the bite shuts off air to the bug that is actually living in your skin.
