A buddy of mine at work asked me if I'd forgiven Craig for that DP in game 3 (I walked around the office pissed off at the world almost the entire day yesterday lol). I said no, we'd be in the NLCS if he hadn't done it. He asked if I'd forgive him if we made it anyway. I said no again, because we can't use Carpenter twice in an NLCS because he has to start game 5. Craig will not be forgiven until we make the world series, when you can use Carpenter twice in either situation.

"You don't watch much Sean Hannity, do you?"
I watched Hannity & Colmes for about five minutes after I read one of Al Franken's books to see if Franken's description of Hannity as, I believe, a "hyperventilating pit bull" was correct.
Tucker Carlson would be unknown to me if Jon Stewart hadn't called him a dick and told him to stick his bow tie up his ass on the air.
I have a policy against paying attention to people with two last names anyway ... other than Thurston Howell III, of course.

Not to get ahead of ourselves, but relax Alz, Carp could still pitch twice in the NLCS. There will be an off day after Game 5. Two days for Games 1 and 2 and another off day for travel. Carp could pitch Game 3 on regular rest and then Game 7, it there is one.

Speaking of cat problems, this story refers to a cougar that needed to be trapped and removed from a neighborhood about 4 miles from my house (in July we bought that double wide and moved about from Skagit Valley to Bellingham, about 30 minutes north of where we had been).

No need to relax, I'm not that worked up about it. That said, his "Alz bucks" are completely spent. Until I can look at that at bat and say "We didn't suffer because of it", I won't excuse it. That may not happen ever.

Fucking great, Fors. Why didn't you map out the rotation for the World Series while you were at it?
If your kids were younger, I'd call them tonight and tell them there's no Santa Claus.

"SUDDEN VALLEY - A young cougar was trapped and moved out of Sudden Valley on Monday, Sept. 5."
Well, that's an exciting lede that makes me want to read more.
I can imagine this reporter's take on the resurrection:
"Jesus of Nazareth returned on Sunday, motivating many of his followers."

Apparently someone didn't read the "Not to get ahead of ourselves" qualifier.
Believe me, I'm not counting on them being in the LCS, I'm just trying to lower Alz's blood pressure a little. Call it my benevolent gesture for the week.

Which you immediately negated with the remainder of the post.
I shouldn't have to remind someone of your stature that karma is not to be fucked with in a win-or-go-home game, lest I wish something bad happen to you. OK, not really bad. Something moderately bad like athlete's foot.

Karma?? Never heard of the bitch. On the other hand, Kharma scares me.

The real question is how to get Laird some playing time in the NLCS, because I don't think we'll want use him in the WS, assuming we are able to win it in five, as I have penciled in. I'm figuring we probably have some tough match-ups in game two of the NLCS, and that would be a good opportunity to get some of our guys some much needed rest, before we go back home and sweep games 3 and 4.

Also, we should plan to get it done with as little reliance on Pujols as possible so as to maximize the hometown discount on his six-year contract.
