    They sacrificed defense when they built this team, but the irony is that the plays by Holliday and Freese were so basic even bad major league defenders are supposed to be able to make them.

    I don't like that double switch.  We have more relief pitchers than we have center fielders who can get a base hit.

    I think La Russa just out-geniused himself.

    Pujols had a historic Game 3, and that's the only thing that's kept him from having a historically bad series.

    He said we got to the WS because he let the team go & just do what they do best.  Now he's back to micro-managing again.

    That was a stupid fucking double switch.  We aren't going to run out of pitchers, but one of the two guys who has a base hit is now out of the game.
