biggest winners so far - vikings. got a good player and added picks

Re: draft thread

Vikings now have 13 draft picks, I believe.  That isnt bad.  They have 4, 4th round picks and 2, 5th round pick.  I hope they can restock their o-line.

Re: draft thread

This hasn't been a disaster for the Rams. Fisher didn't want to take a WR that early, and they added another 2nd round pick. They should be able to add someone like Alshon Jeffries or the kid from Georgia Tech tomorrow.

When you're 15-65 in the last 5 seasons, you need as many quality picks as you can find. WR is an obvious need, but so is every other position on the field except for QB, RB, DE and MLB.

btw, mcshay is from the town next door, which has become the breeding ground for snotty, self-important sports media types. which if you lived around here would make perfect sense.

Deion was virtually shut out tonight because of the pace.  He doesn't sit at the desk, he's down on the stage interviewing players.  Players were coming off the board so quickly tonight he rarely had time to actually get in an interview.

I know little about Brockers, but find it impossible to believe he isn't an upgrade to the middle of their defensive line.  The Rams have the first pick tomorrow and have their choice of Ruben Randle, Steven Hill or Alshon Jeffries.  Then they have pick 39 and 45 to add talent.  They're in a position to add at least 4 starters to a team that desparately needed to upgrade its talent.  Even their 3rd round pick is still in the top 70.

'he's down on the stage interviewing players'

that makes it worse. it's like one of the first official acts of your nfl career is paying homage to deion.

I dont really follow the draft to close.  Why were the Vikings able to pull off the trade?  Did some acually believe they were going to take Richardson?

Re: draft thread

Dolphins select Tannehill. 19 college starts, and 21 interceptions.... #8 overall.

Noting this name next to Jamar Fletcher, Ted Ginn Jr for a potential worst pick ever. They better hope the kid pans out, that's way too high to "take a shot" on anything...
