Maybe, but he's probably the only Raiders' captain who ever has. After the first couple of games in his second year, Moss typically wouldn't even run the play unless it was a pass that was supposed to be thrown to him. He flat out quit on his teammates. That's unforgiveable in any event, and especially egregious for a guy who is supposed to be a leader.

At least the Vikings got a player who tried. Moss gave up on his team because he deemed them not worthy of him, and then essentially forced the Raiders to get rid of him for nothing. That's about as bad an offense as I can imagine in a locker room. Did the Raiders make a mistake in assuming Moss would be a leader? Of course. But you'd expect a Hall of Fame talent to act like a grown man and not some petulant child. As much as the Raiders have suffered because of all the stupid contracts Davis has given out to the likes of Javon Walker, putting all their stock in a player who gave up on them has probably set back the franchise as much as anything else and it still has repercussions today. So I'll complain about Moss for as long as I want, AP.

He was fine his first year in Oakland. He didn't play particularly well, or at the level he had before and has since, partly because he was double-covered on every play. But he kept his mouth shut and behaved himself.
His second year, he just gave up. When the Raiders tried to run, he wouldn't block. When the Raiders threw to the other side of the field, he'd jog about five yards past the line of scrimmage and then stop.

Moss plays the best when things are easy for him.  He'll be in the spotlight this week against Revis.  Let's see how he does.

Revis embarrassed Moss last year, and all the shit Moss has been talking since last Sunday is geared toward him having a big game. He knows he's going up against a guy who didn't participate in training camp and is nursing a bad hamstring.
Of course, it's September. If the Patriots and Jets meet in the playoffs, Moss will turn in his usual Claude Rains impression and then blame someone else for his poor performance. Probably Wes Welker.

I have read the Vikings have interest as well.  They shouldbe interested in anyone with hands right now.  I have n o clue why they cut Javon Walker and even less of a clue why they have not picked him back up.  He played in 2 preseason games and had 189 yards and 2 TDs.  I am sure it has somehting to do with money.

And Darth's right: Sunday's game will be blacked out in Oakland. It'll also be blacked out in San Diego. The NFL really needs to fix this blackout crap.

The NFL sell almost every ticket.  There is no reason to blackout any team.  I would think that would only hurt local interest. 

Raiders only sold 70% of their tickets
Jacksonville 73%
Lion 86%
Rams 85%

Those were the bottomfeeders and I would think those are still great numbers when you look at the sports world overall.
